H.I.T Episode 2 - Aug. 27

After a few delays due to our attempts to make our video files compatible with the most common players for Windows we decided to just release this next expisode in the H.264 format.

Windows users can still view this file if they download Quicktime 7. We recommend that you do this while we work on our Quicktime 6 and WMV formats.

First off let me say, I love the effort. I hope you keep making more of these shows.

Advice number 2, is to zoom the camera in tighter. We don’t need to see your ankles and feet wagging and fidgeting in the shot. Try to shoot from the lower waist and up.

P.S. did you intentionally put the shot of the F1 driver giving the middle finger to the car passing him, or was that just slipped by the editing process. Either way, I like it. Great shot.

    Hey H.I.T. guys/girl,

I watched your IPTV show and gotta say its pretty good! The only problem is your codecs were difficult to get to work on my windows machine. I think i know the problem. When you incode the non H.264 codec file make sure you go into the advanced preferences and make sure that H.264 is NOT selected. I think you are encoding both with H.264 (could be wrong here, though). I have a second machine thats a Mac (very old G3 iMac) that when i use iMovie and save the project it often has H.264 set as default. I usually use movie-to-quicktime format which seems to play well on all windows boxes.

Quicktime 7 for Windows has stability issues. However, you can play h.264 quicktime files using a free open source player called Videolan.

    Download the VLC media player.

It works for Windows, linux, and lots of other platforms. It plays just about any movie file format.

Great show! FYI - Babelfish most likely comes from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
